When selecting a red wine, you should consider what you have liked in the past and try to grow a palette around that. Traditionally, red wine is paired with food due to its intense flavours and you’ll most commonly want to drink it with red meats such as beef, lamb and venison, but it is also great with pasta and pizzas – particularly those with spicy sausage. Where possible we have added tasting notes and suggestions with our red wines to help you make an informed decision, but feel free to contact us if you want some more advice.
We also carry many more lines of wines at our Huddersfield shop, so if you are local why not call in and browse the full range, and if not, call us to discuss your particular requirements.
As if you didn’t already it, here is an excuse to try some new wine! August the 18th is Pinot Noir Day and we have two excellent options to choose from.
