Beronia was founded in 1973 by a local Gastronomic society. They believed there to be no wine good enough to match their own superior cuisine, so they decided to start making their own wine. During one of the early vintages, too much of this wine was made and so they sold the excess locally. The wines were received so well that intense demand was created and so they decided to increase production. Forty years on, the winery is now one of Spain’s favourites; racking up medals and accolades the World over.
