Sauternes
Grand Vin de Bordeaux
by Dulong
These Sauternes are harvested by hand and the grapes are pressed as soon as they arrive in the winery to extract the juice, the flavours and the sugar. The winery master then practices alcoholic fermentation that transforms the sugar into alcohol.
The particularity of the Sauternes grape is that the proportion of sugar is so high in comparison to the other wines. This means that when the process is over, it has an unctuous sensation on the palate.
Tasting Notes: The nose is a unique richness mixed with the subtle combination of citrus, fruits, spices, white flowers and honey. On the palate, the wine is well balanced between sweetness and freshness. It is an excellent rich flavoured wine.
