Introducing Torreón de Parades – Our Latest Wine House

Torreón de Parades - Brothers

We are really pleased to add three collections from the Torreón de Parades wine house. We have five wines from the Valle de Rengo range, seven Reserva's and five from the premium Reserva Privada collection.

The Torreón de Parades winery was founded by Amado Paredes in 1979 and is today run by his sons, Álvaro and Javier. Álvaro is the chief winemaker and production manager, while Javier is general manager, taking charge of financial management and International sales and marketing.

We have been lucky enough to meet the Parades brothers and see their collective passion for the wine they produce. Only the best grapes are selected, which is why the Reserva Privada collection is, without a doubt, one of the best we offer. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay are particular favourites of mine.

We have added the excellent introductory collection called Valle de Rengo. This has two reds, two whites and the only Rose from this wine house. These wines are young, fresh and well-structured with intense fruit aromas, and are classic examples of their varietals. With their intensity, frankness and true varietal character, they are made to be enjoyed while young.

The grapes for the Reserva wines come from Estate vineyards where yields do not exceed 8,000 kg per hectare. The fruit is carefully selected and handpicked at optimum phenolic maturation and concentration. Barrel ageing for 12 months in French and American oak results in deep structural complexity with intense colours and aromatic expressions. We have the full Reserva collection of five reds and two whites.

Finally, the premium Reserva Privada collection has four reds and one white. The Torreón de Paredes experts carefully select the finest grapes from the eldest and most impressive vines. The techniques used in the vineyard produce top quality wines with careful attention given to pruning, irrigation and canopy management, which means that yields do not exceed 6,000kg per hectare.
