Mount Gay 1703 Old Collection

Approximately 12,000 bottles of The Mount Gay 1703 Old Collection are released worldwide each year, which is selected, bottled and labelled individually by hand. It is sweet, oaky and fruity, with lots of vanilla sweetness and faint hints of smoke, followed by a long finish.

1703 features a blend of copper column and copper pot rums from Mount Gay’s oldest reserves – ranging from 10 to 30 year old rums.

It is named after the year the distillery was started, making it arguably the world’s oldest surviving distillery.

“Exceptional roundness with a delicate finish.”

The aromas provide a refined harmony of oaky and caramel notes to provide a balance of caramel, spice and toast on the palate.

To fully appreciate this rum, it is best to enjoy neat. If you prefer rum on the rocks, try slower-melting, spherical ice made of purified water to prevent dilution.
