Dona Paula Estate Malbec-Syrah

£12.49

Ripe flavours showing chocolate and spice and a full flavoured finish encompass the Dona Paula Estate Malbec-Syrah.

The grapes are sourced from the best vineyards in two locations. The first, Los Indios, Altamira is located at 1,100 metres above sea level and has sandy loam soils with a high calcareous content; the second, Alluvia, Gualtallary is situated at 1,350 metres above sea level and has stony soils and is also high in calcareous content. The climate is cold, with an average temperature variation of between 13°C to 16°C and an average annual rainfall of between 280mm and 300mm.

The wine was racked to new, second and third use French barrels (33% of each) where it was aged for eight months, prior to being bottled.

Please note: unless the vintage has been specified we will send the first available vintage of this wine. If there is a certain vintage you would like then please contact us for availability or add a note to your order.

Embracing the plum characters from the Malbec and impressive notes of spice, white pepper and red fruits from the Syrah, this blend is full of ripe flavours. With a pleasant mouth feel and a fresh fruit acidity leading to a full flavoured finish.

A great match with a flavoursome steak pie or a rich, beef casserole.
