Dona Paula Seleccion de Bodega Malbec

Dona Paula De Bodega Malbec has big but balanced flavours of spicy blackberries and wild herbs with an opulent and mouth filling texture, elegant, rich and long.

The Seleccion de Bodega has a blend of some of the best and oldest Malbec sourced from Dona Paula’s estate vineyards in Guatallary (Uco Valley), Altamira (Uco Valley) and Ugarteche (Lujan de Cuyo). The blocks include some 42-year-old vines, which are planted to a high density and produce naturally low yields.

Dona Paula’s vineyards are managed using sustainable agriculture practices. All the grapes are hand selected before being transferred to the winery and underwent a cold maceration prior to the alcoholic fermentation, in order to preserve the primary fruit aromas. A wild fermentation took place with native yeasts at low temperatures. The wine was then aged 100% new French Taransaud barriques, for a period of 14 to 18 months. It was not filtered prior to being bottled.

Please note: unless the vintage has been specified we will send the first available vintage of this wine. If there is a certain vintage you would like then please contact us for availability or add a note to your order.

A sumptuous and opulent wine showing rich black fruit flavours, a well textured
palate with dark chocolate and earthy notes and an elegant finish.

Perfect with beef fillet, or a selection of hard cheeses.
