Beronia Colleccion Graciano

Graciano is relatively scarce in the Rioja region, normally only used in blends with Tempranillo as it is ideal for ageing due to its acidity. It is an interesting variety which needs limestone soil and which gives a unique aroma, much more intense than other varieties in Rioja. During alcoholic fermentation great colour extraction takes places. The wine is then aged in new French oak barrels for 6 months.

Pronounced “Gra-see-arn-o”, it is an ideal wine to experiment with and discover new food matches.

Please note: unless the vintage has been specified we will send the first available vintage of this wine. If there is a certain vintage you would like then please contact us for availability or add a note to your order.

Complex nose with intense spicy aromas; black pepper over a base of violets, mint and chocolate. On the palate full, fruity and a meaty structure with a long finish. Floral notes with touches of cocoa.

Sommelier Wine Awards recommended this wine as a match for Steak.
