New Slingsby Gin – Gooseberry Gin Brought To You By Taste

Slingsby Gooseberry Gin

Be the first to try the new Slingsby gin by ordering from Taste Fine Wines today. We are the first online retailer to offer this brand new premium Gooseberry Gin from one of the most recognised gin brands in the UK right now.

It is getting to stage now, where it is incredibly difficult to find a fruit that hasn’t been turned into a proper gin (by proper gin, we mean at least 37.5% ABV). We have seen Rhubarb (lots of it), Lemon, Blackberry, Raspberry, Grapefruit, Pomegranate, and even Quince, but now we have something that seemed so obvious all along, Gooseberry Gin – the new Slingsby gin.

Made by Slingsby at The Spirit of Harrogate Distillery, as far as we can tell this is the first Gooseberry Gin on the market, and we are the first to offer it!

New Slingsby Gin – Gooseberry Gin For Everyone

Gooseberry Gin is one of the most common home-brew gins in the UK, and with Gooseberries being native to Yorkshire, it seemed perfectly fitting for one of best Yorkshire gin brands to create another classic Yorkshire gin. Launching to the world in March, Slingsby gave Taste a limited early supply of their new Gooseberry Gin so that we could offer it to our loyal customers and through the restaurants we supply in Yorkshire.

After one weekend of sampling it and shipping it out by the box load; it certainly seems like this Gooseberry Gin will be equally as popular as the Slingsby Rhubarb Gin.

As we were unable to get our hands on any fresh gooseberries, we sampled it with green grapes and Mediterranean tonic, and it was delicious. We have also tried it with thinly sliced Granny Smith apples, a single shot of white vermouth, a dash of lemon juice, sugar syrup, and soda – a Slingsby Gooseberry Gin Spritz. This was equally lovely!
