At Taste Fine Wines we find the finest vintages from the best producers around the world and have built a reputation for sourcing high quality, yet good value wines. We personally select our wide range of premium wines, however, that doesn’t mean we only sell expensive wine. There are wines in our range for all budgets but the quality is never sacrificed. On this website, we have carefully chosen wines from our favourite wine houses around the world, so whether you are looking for red wine, white wine, or rose wine, we have you covered.
As well as wine, in our Huddersfield shop, we offer an award-winning selection of cigars plus a great range of spirits including over 100 gins! We also sell many of these gins online, in our every growing selection.
Tim is the third generation of the Marriott family to enter into the wine trade. Formerly a manager of a local supermarket, Tim joined Taste Fine Wines in 1990 alongside brother Simon and mother Anne.
He has since helped the business expand through the years and built their client list to over 30 licenced restaurants, hotels and pubs, of which we supply on a weekly basis. In more recent years Tim has been awarded the silver diploma as a specialist in Havana cigars, which has helped us become one of only a few companies within the UK that can offer such an extensive cigar range.
Dave, formerly a partner in Sheffield-based Mitchells Wine Merchants and runner-up in the 1991 National Off-licence of the Year, has over 40 years experience in the wine trade.
He has been paramount in the success of Taste Fine Wines by helping wife Anne and youngest son Simon originally set the business up, and now continues to work alongside eldest son Tim in the day to day running of things.
